WIELE DOBREGO

Wiele Dobrego is a green spot on the map of Warsaw, a local and neighbourhood place, a meeting point in a friendly, environmentally conscious interior full of plants. The concept combines coexisting functions: a shop, a bistro and a café in a unique interior, where the main role is played by a spacious, modular ceiling, smoothly extending over the surrounding space. Suspended elements inspired by the shape of a leaf with visible veins – the texture of a natural veneer – bring an atmosphere of peace, bliss and relaxation to the interior, while vivid shades of green and orange highlights in the form of iconic lamps transport the imagination to a sunny, energetic meadow. Apart from concealing the extensive ventilation system, scattered modules, cut from plywood, have an important acoustic function. Numerous glazings in the premises make the artistic installation visible from a long distance and draw attention to it like a lantern, inviting people in.

At the heart of the concept is a majestic, illuminated counter made of natural onyx (a stone believed to have healing properties in many cultures) with a milky-green colour. The counter was placed opposite the entrance as a key compositional element of the main wall. It emerges from the surrounding greenery and hypnotizes. The counter has a simple and economical form in order to focus all attention on the natural and unique structure of the stone – an image created by nature that delights and intrigues. In one moment, a calm, pastel green with white veins can change into a lively green volcano.

The counter area was emphasised by hand-moulded tiles at the back, with an organic shape and glazed surface. Above them is a light-grey grillwork, which, in addition to shelves and display hangers, features the hanging menus.

Opposite the main counter, in a natural recess, is an upholstered sofa, which creates a private corner, multiplied in a narrow mirror. Plants hanging in pots, placed on a spatial grid, are a natural complement and reflection of the motif used earlier. Adjacent to this area are the staff facilities and the redesigned guest bathroom. The outer layer is covered with a structural wallpaper with a trapezoidal pattern, which adds character and helps conceal the entrances to the rooms.

The bathroom is a passage to another world, evoking memories of distant, exotic travels. The tropical atmosphere is created by floral wallpaper, and the optical illusion is built by a full-height narrow mirror with concealed LED lighting. The entire design is complemented by a washbasin in the form of a stone bowl and a suspended tabletop.

The eating area is created by round tables with a light metal base and a quartz conglomerate top. The tables are irregularly spaced throughout the room and their locations are indicated by lamps hanging from the ceiling. The entire area is interspersed with lush vegetation, which brings customers closer to nature and adds intimacy by subtly separating the spaces between tables.

The premises also include a garden connected to the main window and front door. The garden is filled with tall palm trees and banana trees, providing a summer lounge area. Nest to the window is a Hocker area in the form of a stone windowsill, adjacent to the window. This is a place for a quick meal or quiet work on a personal computer. Thanks to the large glazing, the interior and exterior zones interweave to create a coherent whole, and the place oozes an everlasting holiday atmosphere.
